2021 CIF DIVISION 1 CHAMPIONSHIP

Congratulations to our Girls Golf Team! They won the Division 1 CIF Championship. This is their 9th CIF Championships in 11 years.

2021 GIRLS AND BOYS GOLF BANQUET

Tiffany Le Esther Lee Ashley Yun all were a big winners at the girls and boys banquet. Ashley winning for new player of the year after shooting 68 in the CIF Individual, Esther winning most improved player with an average score of 75 in all her tournaments this year and Tiffany Le winning team most valuable player, league most valuable player three times and Hall Of Fame. On the boys side freshman Dylan Sham was the big winner Freshman of the year shooting 71 and qualifying for the state playoffs, Senior Ethan Cheng winning team most valuable player and Hall of Fame.

Walnut seniors come from behind to win BIG

2021 Hacienda League Champions

In the final round of the Hacienda League Finals Senior Tiffany Le shot a 2 under par 69 to come from behind and beat her teammate Esther Lee to win her 3rd League championship. Walnut other senior Taylor Fan shot a 77 and came back to claim the final 9th spot. The top 9 girls advanced to the CIF Individuals tournament, joining them at the tournament sophomores Kylie Lau and Ashley Yun juniors Esther Lee and Isabelle San Antonio. The others 3 qualifiers were from South Hills and 2 From Diamomd Bar.
The boys had there winners also freshman Dylan Sham and sophomore Austin Hou qualified, Senior and UCLA bound Ethan Cheng shot tournament low score 68. Unfortunately his first 2 rounds were not as good and he missed qualifying by 1 stroke.
The qualifiers will next play on June 2 at Los Robles GC

SOPHOMORE ASHLEY YUN WINS INDIVIDUAL CHAMPIONSHIP Lady Mustangs wins Team Championship

Walnut Sophomore Ashley Yun shot a 1 over par 74 on the 6,000 yard course at California Country Club leading the Lady Mustangs to a 389 to 405 victory over Diamomd Bad High. Third place finisher Palos Verdes 409 was 4 strokes better than Troys 413. Junior Esther Lee 75 finished 2nd.

The girls will now concentrate on defending there Hacienda League Championship as the prepare for league marches with DB on May 11 and 13. The winner of those matches will determine the delayed 2020 Hacienda League Championship and an automatic berth into the CIF Division 1 Playoffs

Tiffany Le Wins Individual Honors and Team wins Championship

Today at Temecula Inn Creek Golf Course Senior Tiffany Le shot a 3 under par 69 in Great Oak High Tournament to win the individual title. She will now head to Texas to play in the U.S. Women's Amateur Four-Ball Championship at Maridoe Golf Club.

In the Championship Flight Walnut defeated Diamond Bar to claim 1st Place. The two rivals will meet again on April 26 when they play in the Lady Mustang Tournament. Orange County’s Troy and South Bays Palos Verde along with Arcadia will join 17 other teams in Southern California best tournament at California Country Club.

Isabelle San Antonio shoots 1 under par 35 to lead Walnut Girls to victory over Orange County highly rated Troy High, The girls will travel to the south bay on Thursday to play highly rated Palos Verdes High. With today’s victory Walnut improves to 8-0

GIRLS AND BOYS GOLF TEAM WITH A STRONG START, GIRLS TEAM STAY UNDEFEATED

Girls team with their 4 wins this week over Glendora on Monday at Mountain Meadows and a win over Temple City on Tuesday at Eaton Canyon GC. A win over Troy 2nd team on Wednesday at Fullerton GC and Hacienda League opener win over Loa Altos at Mountain Meadows on Thursday.The girls improved to 7 wins 0 loss on the season. The big test for the girls team comes on Tuesday April 6 when they host Troy Varsity team at California Country Club. Thursday April 8 when they travel to the South Bay to play the #1 ranked Palos Verde High on PV home course Palos Verdes County Club.
The Boys team finished 2nd in a field of 16 teams on Monday at California Country Club. They followed that with a 215 to 232 win over Sunny Hills HS and a win in the League opener over Los Altos. The boys suffer there first lost to San Marino 205 to 227 at LA Royal Vista on Thursday.

The girls are trying for their 9th straight Hacienda League Championship and the Boys there 7th straight.With league realignment the addition of Diamond Bar and Wilson will surely make it difficult to repeat as League Champions.
